Mapperton Gardens’ shop stocks a wide range of goods – from chirping yellow canaries for the bath to large Indian cut work bedspreads and delicious chutneys and jams. The shop hopes to cater for all tastes, ages and available income.
There are linen tea towels and flowery aprons, toys that squeak and rattle, Emma Bridgewater’s collectible china, and floral tin trays and plates. Other goods include new age imprint Wooden Books, a source of wonderment and mathematical challenge as well as goods from India, designed especially for us by one of India’s premier designers, Zehra Tyabji, and made by charitable groups.
The shop sells a wide range of plants. Many are grown at Mapperton and others come from a local cooperative.
